This Tom Chambers metal hanging seed feeder is specifically designed to offer the tiny niger/nyjer seeds that are so LOVED by finches. If you are missing finches from your “table” then offering this oil-rich highly nutritious seed will help. Goldfinches, greenfinches and siskins love them and so do chaffinches although they like to eat them from the ground below.
Niger/nyjer bird seed feeders like this one are made from a plastic tube with 2 or 4 tiny holes in them strategically placed above a perch. You can only put these seeds into the correct feeder otherwise they just fall right out! The Flick’n’Click magnetised lid flicks open quickly and the metal hanging feeders feature an easily removable base for cleaning.

A Note on Hygiene
Please keep your bird seed feeders free from bacteria and disease. Clean and wash regularly and try using a soft brush to clean the inside of the tube. Make sure they are completely dry before adding new nyjer seeds. Use Jacobi Jayne Feeder Fresh to absorb excess moisture and prevent the build up of mould in the feeder. Always ensure garden birds have plenty of fresh clean water for drinking and bathing. Clean feeding and drinking areas regularly with a mild disinfectant to stop the spread of viruses.
