This Tom Chambers metal hanging fat ball feeder is ideal for holding traditional suet / fat balls. Fat balls are a fabulous food to offer wild birds especially during the winter when they need the extra energy to keep warm. I am always amazed by how quickly they are eaten in the cold months but also in the autumn and early spring. They attract ALL tits, robins, woodpeckers, house sparrows, dunnocks and nuthatches too.

Manufactured from extremely hard-wearing heavy-duty steel. Available in a traditional black paint finish or pewter. Use with suet / fat balls. The hanging feeders come empty but you can buy the fat balls here if you like.

A Note on Hygiene

Food should be fresh and as dry as possible. Fat suet balls can become rancid and melt in the warm and hot weather. Removing any wet food will prevent the spread of bacteria and diseases. Viruses spread quickly so wash and dry your feeders regularly using a mild detergent and mild disinfectant. Always ensure garden birds have plenty of fresh clean water for drinking and bathing.
