A Note on Hygiene
Keep food fresh and dry, removing any wet food to prevent the spread of bacteria and diseases. Do not feed mouldy food to wild garden birds. Clean feeders and drinking areas regularly with a mild disinfectant to stop the spread of viruses – recommended by the RSPB. Always ensure garden birds have plenty of fresh clean water for drinking and bathing. If you are going to feed your birds then you should offer them water too.
