Renaissance Metal De-Corroder

Renaissance Metal De-Corroder is for use on copper and copper alloys as well as steel, iron, bronze, brass, zinc and galvanised materials. Put a little on some copper wire wool to help remove any unwanted patina such as verdigris and restore some of the natural shine and lustre to our copper bird baths.

How it Works:

• Firstly, the treatment ruptures the bond between the base metal and corrosion layer.
• Secondly, it will reduce rust to a sludge which is easily wiped or brushed away.
• Lastly, clean water rinsing stops the process. Even prolonged immersion over several days has no significant effect on sound metal, thus giving complete control over the process, and freedom from it. The nature of the product eliminates work and health hazards associated with de-rusting systems. Such as those based on phosphoric and hydrochloric acids. Gloves, masks or protective clothing are not required. Normal ventilation and common sense hygiene procedures should be observed.

Following treatment the metal surfaces are stabilised for up to 14 days. This gives time for applying long term protection. Renaissance Micro Crystalline Wax Polish is ideal for this.
